The Project
A few months after planting their first micro-forest, Euroclear returned for a second time to complete the work at the EEBA school in Waterloo.
This time, the Euroclear teams took on the challenge of planting more than 1,600 young, native trees.
Together with them, we planted the remaining 550 m² of the derelict industrial site on the edge of the Sonian Forest and the Domaine d’Argenteuil. There is now no less than 850 m² of Miyawaki micro-forest, which will support local biodiversity whilst restoring the soil.
This project accelerates the natural process of trees colonising the wasteland by giving it a massive boost in the early years. After that, we let the vegetation manage itself, grow and evolve at its own pace.
