Micro-Forest Euroclear 4 - le Verseau in Wavre

The project
Euroclear has decided to create a fourth micro-forest with SOWoods during the 2023–2024 planting season. This time, the company has been helping us in the Wavre area of Walloon Brabant.
700m² of biodiversity has thus been planted, with a very specific aim: to create a protective belt around the green space of the Verseau International School. This will allow the trees, planted using the Miyawaki method, to fulfill numerous roles, such as acting as a noise barrier against the E411 motorway running close to the school, and absorbing potential pollution from cars, farms and industrial sites. It will also surround an open natural area, protecting it from the outside world and allowing its various habitats for biodiversity to develop undisturbed. For example, the school has begun work on a pond and fruit trees, and is allowing the open area to develop into a flower-filled meadow or hay meadow.
