The Micro-Forest Euroclear 3 - Evere

The project
This project to expand the Miyawaki micro-forest in Evere (Brussels) was carried out by a team of 15 dedicated volunteers from Euroclear. Their contribution has doubled the size of a micro-forest planted a year earlier.
100m² of biodiversity has been added next to the ‘Herland’ micro-forest, planted by a feminine collective of streamers and Greenpeace Belgium. Thanks to this second project at this Brussels site, we are also able to compare the development of Miyawaki micro-forests according to their age.
The same native species were predominantly planted across both projects, ensuring consistency throughout.
This urban project creates a refreshing space for people working nearby, such as at the Transforma co-working space. It also creates a green corridor linking the cimetière de Bruxelles to the larger green spaces in the surrounding area.
