GREENING

SOWoods‘ approach is to green our towns and cities in a thoughtful and sustainable way. Greening quickly and in a sensible way are our motto.

We are working to promote urban reforestation and the ecological restoration of our cities, to make our urban environments greener and healthier.

RESILIENCE

We are taking concrete action to adapt our regions to climate change.

By greening areas, restoring local ecosystems and involving citizens, we are strengthening the resilience of our environment while reducing our impact.

Each project is a response to the challenges of climate change: more biodiversity, less impermeable surfaces, and a better-prepared society.

AWARENESS

Raising awareness means bringing about change.

We help citizens, schoolchildren, teams, professionals and local authorities to understand the challenges of climate change, the importance of plants and the vital role of biodiversity.

Through action, observation and dialogue, we help everyone to reconnect with living things and become a player in the transition.

At SOWoods, every project is conceived as a collective adventure.

We work hand in hand with our customers, partners, schools, architects and local authorities to design planting adapted to their terrain, ecological issues and human uses.

Our goal: create resilient, useful & meaningful urban ecosystems.

Where does SOWoods act?

At SOWoods, we want to bring back nature where it has been neglected for too long.

That’s why we focus on what we call urban environments in the broadest sense.

For us, an urban environment is not just a large city: it is any space where the ground has been profoundly modified or covered by human infrastructure – concrete, asphalt, buildings, car parks, warehouses, roads, etc.

That includes : cities and towns, business parks, industrial sites, schools, businesses, hospitals, wasteland, and artificial public or private spaces.

These places urgently need nature: for biodiversity, for the local climate, and for the quality of life of the people who live or work there.

We are therefore focusing less on agricultural areas and forests, where other specialist players are already working effectively.

Our mission : making artificial spaces more suitable to life, one tree, one square metre, one micro-forest at a time.
